The Brief Intervention program is a time-limited counselling and information session with an experienced health professional to look at yours or a loved ones use of substances and based in GP clinics.

The Primary Health Network in partnership with WRAD has an alcohol & other drug clinician attending two medical clinics in Warrnambool on set days to deliver a range of strategies including screening, brief advice, referral to specialist support, counselling and motivational interviewing around substance use. These strategies are delivered to people with mild to moderate levels of substance use issues that may not usually present or require attending the WRAD service and their needs can be managed within the primary care setting.
