AOD Youth Outreach Worker


Exciting Position working with youth who use alcohol and other drugs

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our AOD clinical team in a youth specific position as part of our Alcohol & Other Drug (AOD) Service here at WRAD Health. WRAD Health is a recognised leader in provision of comprehensive evidenced based services with a focus on helping people on their journey towards recovery.

Based in Warrnambool, this position provides alcohol and other drug interventions to people of the Great South Coast catchment:

The AOD Youth Outreach Worker will work with young people who are at risk due to their alcohol and drug use or experiencing problems related to their use

This position will provide clinical interventions to youth ranging from 12 – 25 years of age but also work as part of a multi-disciplinary team which provides a full range of AOD services including access to mental health supports.

An above award salary and includes provision of a salary packaging benefit, and 5.1 weeks annual leave, is available. Salary will be based on the skills and experience of the successful applicant and a generous relocation package is available.

Position Overview:

  • This role promotes best practice outcomes for clients between ages of 12-25 and includes outreach as a core component of the role.
  • The position works as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering a highly professional AOD service.
  • Capacity building and growth of the team is something WRAD Health pride itself on and team work is an expectation in this position.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • A relevant health related tertiary qualification is desired.
  • A Diploma in Alcohol and Other Drugs is desired.
  • Demonstrated experience in youth work either in AOD or related fields to a diverse client group.
