The Western Region Alcohol and Drug (WRAD) Centre Inc. was formed in 1983 to address community needs and has successfully established a unique service across South Western Victoria through the provision of a range of targeted programs. WRAD is currently the lead agency in the Great South Coast Alcohol and Drug Treatment services. The partner agencies are South West Healthcare, Portland District Health, Brophy Youth and family services and the Western Victoria Primary Health Network. WRAD are accredited as an Alcohol and Drug service as well as a General Practice.

The WRAD Centre’s vision is to advance the health and wellbeing of all people in the South Western Region of Victoria affected by addictive behaviours and to promote optimal enjoyment of life for people of all gender, age, race, sex, sexual orientation, religion, ability, cultural or language background. The WRAD Centre opened in 1986, and is based in the City of Warrnambool, providing services to the Warrnambool, Corangamite, and Moyne Shires

WRAD is committed to providing specialist services to individuals and families across the Western District, attending to the diverse needs and problems created by alcohol and drug use. WRAD provide comprehensive support and treatment to those affected by addictive behaviours.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a skilled, empathetic and highly motivated Senior AOD professional to foster the clinical leadership of our community AOD team supporting the staff in their clinical work as well ensuring the high standards of clinical care and treatment to our clients.

The position

The position is offered as a full time, with a review at 6 months as part of the probationary period.  The role is based at the WRAD centre in Warrnambool and is part of a fully operational medical practice as well a comprehensive AOD clinical service.

This principle recognises that people in our society use both licit and illicit drugs, and that drugs can be used in ways that are more or less harmful to individuals, families and society. Harm minimisation offers a number of options designed to reduce the harm of drug use to the user and society.
