THE Lookout campaign has hit a major milestone with $300,000 raised for a residential drug rehabilitation facility in Warrnambool in just in four weeks.
Fundraising for the proposed 20–bed facility called The Lookout, is at the halfway mark.
WRAD director Geoff Soma said it has been an enormous community response.
“We continue to be overwhelmed by the generosity of the general public,” Mr Soma said.
“With small and large donations, the whole community has contributed to making the campaign a success so far.”
Donations have come from individuals and businesses including Sharp Airlines, Quest Warrnambool, Darrian Office Supplies, South West Credit, the Cally Hotel and Spectrum Digital Printing.
There have been donations from the general community and the Gwen and Edna Jones Foundation and the AL Lane Foundation.
WRAD has committed $600,000 to the new centre, and the community campaign is aiming to raise another $605,000.
The latest tally comes after Warrnambool business Northeast Stockdale and Leggo donated $10,0000 last week.
