Mental Health opposition minister Emma Kealy has met with members of The Lookout steering committee to be briefed on the project.

Ms Kealy joined South West Coast MP Roma Britnell on Wednesday to meet with Western Region Drug and Alcohol centre director Geoff Soma, steering committee chair Glenys Philpot and committee member Greg Best.

“Emma and I have discussed issues surrounding residential rehabilitation across the state and we both felt it was important for her to visit Warrnambool to meet with Geoff Soma and the steering committee members,” Mrs Britnell said.

“There is an amazing amount of community support for this project and the need for this type of residential rehabilitation centre is well known.”
