Recovery Pathways launched

WRAD Health’s new Recovery Pathways program was launched with an open day on November 13.

Recovery Pathways is a revamp of the former Sliding Doors program with a new name and new curriculum and activities.

Recovery Pathways will run from 10am-2.30pm four days a week for five weeks, with a rolling intake so people can join at any time, offering personalised support in a welcoming environment.

The curriculum is still based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy but has been revamped to introduce guest speakers in fields such as mental health and nutrition, along with a range of activities such as cooking, yoga, art therapy, mindfulness programs.

People don’t have to be abstinent to join the program but have to be under a substance use reduction program. Contact us!  0434 307 283 or 5564 5777

Integrated care centre plans progress

Plans for an integrated health care centre on WRAD Health’s Kepler Street land are progressing.
Thanks to donations from local philanthropic organisations, designed are being drawn up for the proposed centre which would be behind the current WRAD Health building.
This multi-million-dollar project would co-locate allied health and medical services to reduce the burden of people with multiple health issues having to navigate a range of different services in different locations.
We’re also grateful to Deakin University for providing access to the team in the Freelancing HUB program to help develop a needs assessment to support future applications for grants and funding.
