Counselling services primarily address the impact of substance use/abuse on an individual and/or their family’s lives. WRAD Health recognises an individual’s strengths and skills and is here to assist in making change through developing skills to effectively deal with stress, problem solving and coping with difficult emotional states such as anger, anxiety and depression.
This service includes youth and adult counselling delivered by skilled AOD clinicians and a program specific to working in medical clinics providing brief interventions from 1-5 sessions.
Assessment is the process for identifying needs and treatment goals. WRAD Health seek to look at the whole person and encourage support services or family to be part of the process. The aim is to be able to deliver an evidenced based approach to meet the needs for which you are seeking assistance.
Sliding Doors has made huge differences in the lives of people with alcohol and drug dependency issues. It is a non-residential program helping people change their thoughts and feelings and ultimately change their behaviours.
The program is based on a recovery model of care and seeks to develop life skills, communication skills and improve coping strategies to manage anger, anxiety, urges and cravings associated with alcohol and other drugs.
This service works with youth and adults who have received treatment and require short-term transitional accommodation to support their recovery and prevent homelessness.
WRAD Health offers access to skilled clinicians around the issues of concurrent substance use and mental health issues as well as access to consultant psychiatrists and doctors who can assist.
Specialist referrals are available to residential programs or specialist assessment for other service support
